We don't collect anything from you

There are no accounts, no forms, and no newsletter here. We don't ask for your name or your email, and we keep no database of visitors.

If you email us, we have your message and your address, and we use them to reply.

Advertising pixels

Every public page runs the Meta (Facebook) pixel and the TikTok pixel. They load with the page and send information to Meta and TikTok — your IP address, browser and device details, the page you're viewing, and whether you clicked through to an app we write about. They also set cookies to recognize your browser across visits. We use this to measure our advertising.

Some state privacy laws describe this as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't sell personal information for money. You can limit it by blocking third-party cookies or using a browser or extension that blocks trackers.

Affiliate links

We earn commissions when you sign up for an app through a link here. Those links pass through a tracking redirect that records the click and which page it came from — that's how the provider knows to credit us. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses.

Other companies' sites

Every app we cover is run by someone else. Once you follow one of our links you've left this site, and that company's privacy policy governs what happens next.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information is held about you, to have it deleted, or to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because we keep no accounts and no visitor database, we usually have nothing to look up. Email hello@thesideledger.comand we'll respond.
